Going out in public was something Javier rarely did these days, he only ever went out when he was low on food or if he needed some supplies for his cars that he was working on. Javier was a total bum and had no more goals in life but to continue to fix cars and keep his mind as occupied as possible. Ever since, he had lost the most important thing in his life, Sophia, he had refused to open up to people and be the way people wanted him to be which was social and more successful. He was close to his brothers but lately, he had been drifting from them, putting more and more work onto him. He had three cars to fix in his garage right now but he had decided to get away for once and buy some new music at the local music store. He usually listened to music while he worked on cars, it was proven that people worked better when listening to good tunes. Javier was a perfect example of that theory. His brown eyes skimmed over all the titles on the racks, wondering what he was in the mood to listen to today. He would be working on cars till at least nine tonight because he had so many right now.
As he walked down the rows of different new releases, he felt stares on him. Ever since leaving jail, he had kept to a pretty scruffy beard and long curly hair. He looked like a mess for lack of a better word and he got stares all the time. He also wasn't looking the greatest he could because he was stained with grease, in his favorite gray tank top and some blue Dickies and Timberland boots. It was his usual outfit because he never liked to wear nice clothes when working on cars. Javier looked up, noticing an older woman looking at him pretty hard. He raised his hand and waved to her, politely giving her a weak smile before moving into another row, trying to avoid her eyes. People could be so harsh about a persons looks and it bothered Javier when people paid attention to him, unwanted attention.
He took his mind off of the people around him and stared hard for a good CD. None of these CDs were any that he wanted but he found an all hits Bob Marley CD and grabbed that one, heading toward the counter to pay for it when he noticed something out the corner of his eye that made him drop his CD and stop in his steps.

Sophia walked, her black Christian Louboutin’s clicking with each step she took, sure, the four inch stilettos were killing her feet, but she didn’t really care. Beauty equaled pain, and that was pretty much her game plan. She lived for high fashion and loved to look good, no matter the consequences, even if her feet were going to kill her the next day. This was what she lived for; fashion. She tilted her head slightly and let her brown eyes slowly move over the signs indicating the different store names. She was looking fo r the music store. She needed some muse for her latest designs, but she was drawing a blank. Usually good music would stir up some sort of inspiration for her, but she was running dry. Hoping to find some new music, she headed in to the shop.
She literally stopped in her tracks when the person at the counter turned, the CD in hand dropping to the floor. Her heart stopped as well, her breathing hitched and she felt numb. The man at the counter reminded her so much of the person she came here for. She swallowed hard remembering every detail of Javier’s face. It was weird, because suddenly she could see that clean shaven, chiseled jaw under the scruff on the guy’s face and the curly hair turned in to a short cropped do. And the tight-lipped look on his face turned to that charming grin that Javier would always flashed her way. It soon hit her after starring at him for so long that it was in fact Javier. What gave him away were those eyes. They were a shade of brown that no one else had ever had. She blinked a few times, letting the last image she had of him fade away and stared at the person before her.
He wasn’t like anything that she remembered. Her heart beat rapidly in her chest and her stomach tied in a million knots. The same feeling that she always got when she looked at him. She had just gotten back from Paris where her father had made her finish her schooling. After saving up a little of her allowance at a time, she was able to escape the strong confines of her father and break free to come back to the United States, to come back to Barkley… to find him. To find her Javier. She swallowed, still staring at him, not sure if she should say hello, or if he even remembered her. A million questions running through her mind as she stared at him. The most important along with did he remember me was, had he moved on? Was she too late? Could she have her Javier back? Did he want her back? She couldn’t seem to stop her brain from thinking the same thing in twenty different ways. Mustering up the little courage she had, she blinked again and opened her mouth to speak, but all that came out was a very unintelligent greeting.

The clerk at the counter had hissed a few words to Javier and he just ignored him but politely picked up the CD and set it on the counter but taking a few steps away from it. Taking a few steps closer to who he believed had to be Sophia. It had been so long! His memories of her were all faded and barely there anymore. He had been so busy without her, trying to ignore all his pain and her memories were now faded but he knew her face and her body. He knew every inch of her skin from the times they spent together, intimate and casual times. Javier bit his lower lip, feeling his insides twisting in all sorts of ways as he felt his deepest love for her return in an instant to his cold, rough body that had rejected anything that had to with love. His lips quivered as he tried to speak, to say something to her that would change what had happened between them but he couldn't even process what was going on in his head! Javier stared at her, hard, knowing that was his Sophia! Nothing had changed and he felt all the love he had when they had been together. A small cry escaped his lips as he scratched his beard, not sure what to say or do at that moment.
Javier stepped closer to her and farther away from the CD he had planned to buy. His eyes brightened as he got close enough to her to smell her scent, such a familiar scent. She hadn't changed much since they had been separated. She was everything that he still remembered. She was beautiful, elegant and still very into fashion which made him laugh as he stopped a few feet from her. “Sophia...” Javier couldn't remember the last time he had spoke her name. Her name burnt his lips as if it should have never stopped being spoken. Javier had never moved on from her, had always been couped up with his many memories of her. He had had one other girlfriend besides her and that had been Miley but that relationship had meant nothing to him. It wasn't meant to work out either because the age difference and the fact that he had gone to jail. It didn't hurt when Miley broke up with him but it always hurt when he thought about Sophia and when he left him... and that meant something. “Sophia... Sophia... Sophia,” it was the only thing Javier could say as he rushed to her and placed his rough hands on her soft cheeks, breathing in her scent as he felt himself tear up. “Why did you leave me?” Javier asked her, his voice cracking as he remembered that painful day. His fingers felt all over her face, more memories of her rushing back to his head. “I missed you so much.” She told him, a tear falling down his face as he felt his insides crashing.
His eyes moved all over her face, observing her closely as he moved just a little bit closer to her. He looked into her eyes once he was done and smiled weakly, more tears falling down his face as he leaned into her and kissed her, deeply and passionately like the times he had before. His tears began to fall down harder as he kissed her, not wanting to stop, not wanting to let go afraid that he would lose her all over again.

Her heart was beating so rapidly it felt like it was about to burst out of her chest and run free. She felt her breathing hitch as he moved closer to her, her chest rising and falling with every breath she took. Sophia couldn’t seem to comprehend exactly what was happening here. The man that she loved so deeply was standing right there in front of her. Had it really been that easy? She expected to be scowering the city for him, but her first actual trip out in to town and she bumps in to him? What are the odds? It didn’t matter to her though. She shook her thoughts, he was there and they were standing right before each other, just staring. It was hard not to share; because even when he looked like he hadn’t slept in days, or shaved in a week or two, he still looked as handsome as ever. Sophia had the sudden urge to run her fingers through his curly hair, to pull him close and never let him slip out of her fingers again.
When her name left his lips, and that sultry voice hit her ears; she could feel her knees go weak. Never had anyone said her name in such a way. There was so much passion, want, desire in that voice, that she couldn’t seem to comprehend the intensity of such a small word. But it wasn’t the word, it was the person saying the word. Her Javier. Her heart clenched in her chest, remembering the last time she had heard him say her name. A wave of guilt and hate washed over her. The guilt for leaving him with no answers and the hatred that burned inside of her for her father. Sophia gasped slightly when Javier rushed to her, his calloused hands cupping her cheeks, he said her name over and over and she couldn’t help but stare up at him longingly. How she had wondered what it would be like to see that face again, to feel those hands on her skin and to feel those lips on hers. She had waited too long for this, and she was going to savor every last second she possibly could. “Javier,” Her voice nearly broke as she spoke his name, loving the way it sounded coming from her mouth. She had been forbidden to speak his name, and her bodyguards were her father’s ears and he paid them enough money to do so. “I didn’t want too, Javier… I had too.” She whispered softly, her hands resting on his firm chest, looking up in to those mesmerizing brown eyes. “I missed you even more.”
Her heart fleeted as the tears welled up in her eyes and they started to fall the moment his did. Her emotions were going haywire, she didn’t know what to think or what to do. She had what she wanted right here in front of her and he was real. He wasn’t a figment of her imagination, that she had dreamed of every night. Her white knight coming to rescue her from the boarding school in Paris her father had shoved her in. But none of that mattered right now, all that mattered was that they were both here here… now… together. She smiled up at him a little and her heart stopped in her chest when he lowered his lips to hers. Swallowing, she wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him down to meet her even more. Her lips moved with his, their tears mixing together as they held on to each other as if the other was going to disappear. After a few passing moments, she pulled back and swallowed, staring up at him her eyes red from crying, her mouth bruised from kissing and her heart soaring. “I’m never leaving you again.”

Javier had no idea that she would show up into his life like she had especially where they were right now. He was so grateful to have her in his arms again and he had never thought this day would come especially so soon. He had figured they would see each other once they were both truly on their own and did many things on their own. Javier had gotten worried that she had moved on but it was apparent that she hadn’t as they kissed each other, passionately. Javier kissed her deeply, showing how much he had truly missed her and wanted her in that one kiss. He cupped her cheeks, tightly as he pressed himself into, losing any kind of gap that had been between them. His eyes were shut tight and he was completely absorbed into their kiss, not even caring about anything around them. He could hear scoffs of disapproval and the clerk seemed to be trying to say something but Javier just ignored them all, so glad that the love his life was back into his life again.
When she pulled away and spoke, he pressed his forehead against hers and nodded. “Please.” He begged her, begged her to never leave him again. He had been so broken without her. He had turned into a lifeless person that did absolutely nothing to fill the void that she had created for him. He had just gotten into bad things, fought more, fixed cars a whole lot more and had gone to prison for a year. He also didn’t even care about his physical appearance anymore, letting his facial hair grow to a beard and his thick locks grow into many curls. It was embarrassing and pathetic but he had missed her greatly and nothing else in the world matter. He looked into her eyes once he managed to open his and smiled at her, faintly. “I can’t believe this is happening. I can’t believe you are here.” He told her, shaking with disbelief and emotions he hadn’t felt in the longest time.
He heard the clerk voice something and he rolled his eyes, wanting this moment to last longer than everyone around them had time for. He pulled away from her and grabbed her hand, taking her out of the music store to be away from people. “We got a lot of talking to do, Sophia.” Javier said, liking the way her voice sound after all these years of having not said it. “Wanna go home to my place?” His home was her home and he needed to take her there and explain to her everything that was different and had changed.
