Tori had lived in Barkley her entire life. It was sort of lame, and she was always so interested in seeing the people move into town and finding out where they're from. No matter what, the beach was always Tori's favorite place to be. She wasn't supposed to drive the motorcycle her dad had gotten her, since she was still a bit too young for her license, but she decided she would anyway. Being fifteen was lame, but having a rich dad made it all worth while. Tori was tired of hanging around at home, so she hopped on the motorcycle and drove herself to the beach. It was definitely a nice day out.
Being the "good twin" was tiring sometimes. She didn't necessarily try to be good, she just was. And sometimes, like now, Tori was sick of it. She'd met a cute guy named Rico, and Aeryn had automatically started flirting with him. Though Tori had gotten him to offer her a ride on his motorcycle... He was fun. But maybe a bit too flirty for her tastes. Javier had warned her about hanging around with him as more than friends. Maybe she should take his warning to heart. Tori sat in the sand, her shoes next to her and her feet in the water. The sun was high in the sky and people were crowded around the beach. She just hoped someone would show up that she knew, not that she didn't know many people around town.

Living in Barkley Sean's whole life made life seem so boring. Besides going to L.A. almost every weekend to trying to get a record deal, Sean had never really been outside of Barkley, he'd been to New York a few times, but that was about it. He looked out the window of his room and saw the amazing view of the beach. He scanned it trying to see someone he knew, and finally he spotted Tori. It was pretty easy for him to tell the difference between the twins, he wasn't sure how, he just knew who was who. Plus Tori did have longer hair. Sean smirked at the thought of easily knowing the difference between them. Sean decided after being home all morning with nothing to do, and his brothers being out of town, he decided he would go to the beach.
After getting dressed and eating some breakfast, even though it was time for lunch, Sean was ready to leave for the beach. Living on the beach was really useful and it was easy to get to the beach quickly. All you had to do was walk down like fifteen feet. After about two minutes of walking he was behind Tori. He put his things down quietly and walked up behind her. "Guess who," he said putting his hands around her eyes. Tori was one of the only people that Sean could be this way with. He was usually quiet, and shy, but with Tori he was free to be himself, because he new she wouldn't care the way he acted.

Tori wasn't sure how long she'd been sitting on the beach, just watching waves and kids running around before there were hands over her eyes. A wide smile spread across her soft lips as Tori recognized who it was. "Sean!" she giggled, turning around and smiling even wider. She loved being herself, and she felt as if she could be even more of herself around him. They'd been friends for quite some time, having both been raised in Barkley, and Tori was completely there for him and his dream of getting a record deal. Tori had always wanted to be famous, sing or something. But she got stage fright, so it wouldn't happen. She was pretty good at singing, and she danced and was in gymnastics. Surprisingly she could do those without stage fright, but the second she started singing she was self conscious.
"How've you been, dude?!" she exclaimed, smiling widely and standing to hug Sean tightly before looking back at the water. It was sparkling in the afternoon sunlight, and Tori just knew her eyes were probably sparkling. The beach was so nice... A little kid ran past, almost knocking Tori over. She fell backwards, right into Sean. She pouted, furrowing her brow. "Gah, sorry!" she crossed her arms at the kid, who was long gone.

Sean squeezed her tight as she hugged him. Sean felt a bit disappointed when she quickly pulled away. He avoided the feeling and got ready to answer her question, but he wasn't able to as she fell into him. Because Sean didn't see that coming, and he was only leaning on one foot at that second, he fell back into the sand with Tori falling right on top of him. He put his arms around her back before hitting the sand, just so she wouldn't hurt herself. Sean laughed and took his hands off her after he was sure they were safely on the ground. "No worries," he said putting one hand back to push himself and her up. He kind of like laying there with her on top of him, but he didn't want to make anything awkward.
When he was able to get up from the sand and helped Tori up. "Lets go wash the sand off?" He said putting his hand through hers, like he did so many times before. That was never a problem in there friendship. He began running toward the water pulling her along. When they reached the water Sean realize how cold it was. "Shit! It's freezing," he said loudly stilling laughing. He stood on his toes like people did when they went into cold water. He looked over at Tori and remember how she always got used to the water quickly. He let go of her hand and dived into the next wave that came. Then after he was above the water again he splashed Tori a bit. He smiled at her and grabbed her hands so she couldn't splash him back.

Tori always felt a bit of longing when she let go of hugging Sean. But she brushed the feeling aside, and bye the time she was in the sand Tori was laughing so hard it was probably a crime. The petit girl took Sean's hand to help herself up, brushing sand off of herself in the process. She ran along with him toward the water, her legs not long enough to fully keep up so she was propelled by his pulling her lightly. Tori shivered at the first step into the water, bouncing a bit before adjusting. She wasn't about to get her shirts wet, so she took them off and threw them to dry sand, revealing her pink and white striped bikini. She really didn't care about getting her shorts wet.
Tori squealed when Sean splashed her, suddenly realizing she couldn't splash back when he grabbed her hands. "Heyyyy, no fair!" she said, giggling and scrunching her nose. Tori sank down to sit in the water, freeing herself by diving into the next large wave that came. She came back up, running both hands through her long, dark hair to get it out of her face. Sticking her tongue out at Sean, she splashed at him from where she'd came up, water up to her hips.

He wasn't sure how, but she some how Tori was able to get out of his grasp going under the water. When she went under the water, he felt a bit of a worry come over him. Not being able to see her kind of scared him, but he quickly got over that as she came back up a few feet away from him. She splashed him and he tried dodging it by turning around so the water wouldn't hit his face. He laughed and turned around to face her. "Okay, okay, truths!" He yelled laughing put his hands up. Finally there was no more water hitting him so he put his hands down.
He wasn't going to splash her, but he would do something that would be just as bad, maybe even worse. He smirked at the thought, and went under that water toward her as fast as he could she she wouldn't be able to get away. He grabbed her legs and picked her up above the water not letting go, "if I throw you, will you get mad?" He asked her laughing. He was pretty sure he would throw her even if she said yes, because he knew she would get over it quickly. He looked up at her an squeezed her so she couldn't get out.

Tori giggled and shrugged when he offered a truce. "Fineeee," she said, stopping her splashing and running her hands through her hair again. It didn't seem to want to stay out of her face. She was happy to search her wrist and find a pony tail holder, flipping her hair forward then back and pulling it into a sloppy, high ponytail. When she looked back up, Sean was out of sight. She freaked out a little, before realizing he was probably under the water... Which wouldn't be good for her most likely. But Tori didn't move.
That is, until she was lifted. Tori felt herself lifted up, and she slung herself over Sean's shoulder, giggling. He asked if she would get mad if he threw her. Would she? Probably, but only as a joke. So, Tori shrugged softly. "Most likely." She prepared herself to be thrown, and next thing she knew she was under water. Tori came back up, shivering and shaking her side bangs back into place, since they were too short for the ponytail. "Meannnn." she said, giggling.

Sean laughed at her, knowing that she was only joking. "To bad," he said with shrug. He throw her as high and as close to him as he could, just in case he needed to help her if something went wrong during the throw, but he was sure she was fine when she came back up. He shrugged and looked at her, "me? mean? never," he said shaking his head. He watched her shiver and felt bad. "Your cold, lets get out of the water and dry off," he said offering his hand to her. "Don't worry, I wont do anything," he said with smirk. But he was telling the truth, he wasn't planning on doing anything.
"So, have you written any songs lately?" He asked her knowing that she liked to sing. He new that she had stage fright when it came to singing in public, but he had it two. Except he loved singing so much that he started to over come that fright, and actually did do a few gigs. He was proud of himself for that, and a lot of other people were too.

Squealing a bit in the air, Tori was thrown into the water. She giggled softly at his respose to her calling him mean. "Psh... Still mean." Tori smiled widely, proving that she was bluffing. Tori hadn't even realized that she'd shivered, but the water was pretty cold. She nodded and reached out, taking Sean's hand in hers and lacing their fingers as she walked out of the water sort of quickly. She looked at her shirts and scrunched her nose, not willing to put them on since she was still dripping wet. Tori shivered as a bit of a cool breeze blew past, taking her hand from Sean and wrapping her arms around herself for warmth.
Tori was a bit shocked by the question. She was never big on writing songs, but she did sometimes. The brunette shook her head, wet hair flipping over one shoulder in the process. "Not recently.. You?" she smiled a bit, looking completely interested. She admired Sean's talent, and loved hearing him sing. Tori could just picture him standing on a stage with a ton of teenage girls screaming his name, and it made her super proud that she got the chance to be best friends with him.

Sean smiled when she laced her hand with his, it felt right with there hands twined together. He felt a shiver go down his spine, but it wasn't from being cold. Sean looked over at her when she let go of him, "you're freezing," he said quickly putting his arm around her and pulling her closer. He rubbed her shoulder trying to make her warmer. He looked up at the sky, the sun had decided to go away and he saw clouds. "Hmm, it looks like it's about to rain," he said in a not so happy tone. "We can go up to the beach house?" He said looking over at her. He wasn't going to take no for answer, she was freezing, and it wasn't getting any warmer outside. In fact it was starting to get windy. He picked up his and her towel and put them both around her and then put his arm back around her so the towels wouldn't fall. Soon they were walking up to his place where no one was home. But they had been at Sean's house hundreds of times before alone.
Sean thought about the songs he had written recently, nothing that was to special. "Yea, a few. I wrote one song called The World is Spinning, not one of my better songs, but I'm thinking about recording it," he told her with a shrug. "Oh and another one called, Last Time Around, I think you'd really like that one," he said with a smile looking over at her. "You know me, I'm always writing songs." He told her. He was about to offer to play for her when they got up to the house, but then he decided he wouldn't. If she wanted to hear she could ask, which she usually did and he was okay with that. He looked over at her again and it seemed like she was beginning to stop her shivers, "feel better?" He asked her. He felt a droplet come onto his shoulder. "Uhoh, it really is starting to rain," he said, but that was okay because they were only a few steps away to his door.

"You're freezing." It wasn't a question from Sean, but Tori nodded anyway. Clouds were slowly coming in and it looked like it was going to rain. It hardly rained in Barkley during the summer, but when it did it was nice. Well, except when it got cooler outside. Looking at the weather and how cold the water was, Tori wasn't going to be running around in the rain, and she probably wouldn't leave Sean's until it stopped raining. Not that he'd let her, considering he was too protective about her riding motorcycles in the sunny weather, let alone pouring rain. "Lets go," she agreed, nodding and picking up her shirts before Sean wrapped the towels around her and draping his arm over her shoulder. She'd stopped shivering, and she was holding the towels tightly around her. It was still pretty warm out, but there was a breeze and the water had been too cold.
Tori listened as he spoke about his music. She did know that he was always writing, and Tori had always admired his hard work. She had to remember to ask him to play something for her later... "Yeah, I feel lots better." A drop of rain hit Tori right on the nose and she blinked before wiping it away with her towel. The fifteen year old skipped up the steps and walked right into Sean's house. She'd been doing that for years now, because Tori was practically part of the family. So, Tori headed into the living room and plopped down on the couch. Her torso was finally dry, so she dropped the towels behind her and pulled on her shirts, wrapping herself back in the towels for comfort and warmth. "You should play Last Time Around for me!" she exclaimed, giggling.

Sean watch her skip up the steps and he smiled behind her. He walked up the stairs and walked in behind her. "I'll go change and get my guitar," he told her. He wasn't sure why he told her about Last Time Around since it had a such a big guitar part, and he wasn't that good at it yet. Oh well, he would have to be good at it for once now. He walked into the room he shared with his brother. There was plenty enough room in his large house that they would be able to both have there own room, but they liked sharing a room together. They weren't just brothers, they were like best friends. Sam, his dad and his sister Shenae decided to go on road trip, that Sean didn't feel like taking.
After changing his clothes and grabbing his guitar he was on the couch next to Tori. "So, as you know I'm still not that great at the guitar, and this is a song that has a lot of that in it. Probably the most challenging songs to play, but I've practiced it so many times that it doesn't sound to bad," he said with a laugh. So here I go.
Yeah, oh oh. Walk in the room, I'm a man on a mission. You're standing there and I feel that connection. I break the ice and I ask what your name is. Then I recall that we already did this. Somehow I missed it.
Keep on moving like you did last summer, When the grass was greener and your hair was longer, If you become familiar with another in town, Don't forget about the fun that we had, Last time around.
You walk around with a new man, new band, You think its over but I'm just getting started. I tried to call but you don't ever answer. I'd let you go but you're all that I'm after. Can't you remember?
Keep on moving like you did last summer, When the grass was greener and your hair was longer, If you become familiar with another in town, Don't forget about the fun that we had, Last time around.
{It feels good!}
So keep on moving like you did last summer, When the grass was greener and your hair was longer, If you become familiar with another in town, Don't forget about the fun that we had, Last time around.
Keep on moving like you did last summer, When the grass was greener and your hair was longer, If you become familiar with another in town, Don't forget about the fun that we had, Last time around.
Last time around. Yeah, last time around.
The song was about four minutes long, so when he was finished he put the guitar down and looked over at her. "So, what do you think?" He asked her,"you like it?" He wrote this song for no particular reason, he was just reading a book that kind of had the same theme going on and decided to write a song.

Tori nodded and watched him walk away. Why am I only friends with him..? Tori shook her head and tried to clear the thought from her brain. He's her best friend, she couldn't do that.. could she? Her best friend came back and started playing. Tori listened, tapping her hand on the couch to the beat and smiling widely. It was a pretty good song, and she was really glad that he'd been practicing a lot with the guitar. He actually wasn't that bad anymore, and Tori couldn't help but feel pride about having landed him as a best friend. She supposed she should thank her dad for knowing Sean's dad and introducing the two to play dates as little kids.
"It's awesome!" she said, smiling widely again. "And you owned the guitar, by the way. It's great." Tori nodded softly. "Maybe that's why I like you.." Tori paused, blinking multiple times and covering her mouth with both of her hands. She was shocked, having only meant to say that in her thoughts. "Uhm..you didn't hear that.." she said behind hands, blinking and looking away nervously. Did I seriously just say that?! she thought, completely shocked with herself.

Sean smiled as she told him him how much she liked the song. "Thanks," he said with a little blush. He sat there for a few seconds and the next few words that came out of Tori's mouth made his heart melt, in a good way. He smiled at her reaction to what she had just said. He took her hands off her face and held them, "it's okay Tori, I um," Sean felt really nervous, but she had said so he at least owed her the truth, "I like you too," he told her.
He wasn't sure how she was going to take it, or even if she really felt the same way. What if her saying that was just a spur of the moment type thing. He wasn't sure. He waited to see her reaction, and what would happen. Would this ruin there friendship? He hoped not. Sean kept a smile on his face hoping that what she said was true. And if it was he hoped that if they started a relationship, it would work out.

Tori wasn't sure how she expected Sean to react. It was a bit of a spur of the moment thing, but thinking about it, Tori did like him. She'd been tempted to ask him out multiple times before, but the small girl had never actually had the guts to say that she liked him, let alone actually ask him out. Tori always feared that it would ruin their friendship. After all, they'd been friends for over a decade. And yet, he'd taken her hands and... Did he say that he liked her, too? Yup, he did. Tori's face went from a look of shock to softening into a weak smile. "R-really?" she asked, quieter than she'd ever heard herself.
"'Cause I've, uh, sorta liked you for.. a w-while.." Tori stared at her hands that Sean was holding. She felt sort of awkward, which was a new feeling to have around him. The last time Tori had felt awkward around Sean was.. Well, she'd never felt awkward around Sean. He was one of those people that Tori could walk around with no pants on and feel completely comfortable. They were just that close.
