Noah Langdale walked around the park, aimlessly trying to figure everything out. He had asked Liz to meet him there so that they could talk. He didn’t know what she saw in that Sebastian guy she was seeing, but he didn’t like it. He didn’t like the way the guy looked at her, he didn’t like the way the guy touch her or talked to her. He just… didn’t like the fact that Sebastian was with her. He had come to the conclusion that he was jealous – that was a given, but he couldn’t stand it anymore. Sebastian Suarez had what he wanted and he just couldn’t handle it.
He knew from the second he had kissed Liz at her house that day that there was something between them. What they shared was more than just a friendly kiss, it was more than that. There was passion in that kiss, desire even. He closed his eyes tightly at the thought. He didn’t want to put everything out there just to be rejected. But he was going to tell her that he didn’t like Sebastian and that he didn’t want her with him. That was his plan. He was just going to be up front about it and tell her that she needed to dump him. He didn’t really care at this point how she took it, but he had to tell her that the guy just wasn’t good enough for her. No one that wasn’t him was good enough for her, at least in his eyes.
He knew that it wouldn’t go over well, he was pretty sure of that. Liz was totally in to this guy and that just made it all the worse for Noah. He hated fighting with Liz, but he knew it had to be done. She had a right to know his opinion, even if she didn’t want to hear it. He wasn’t going to hold this back from her anymore. Noah was done with biting his tongue and tiptoeing around the subject. He hated doing that and it wasn’t him. It was starting to affect the way he acted around her and he didn’t like it. He liked for everything to be out in the open between them. Noah wasn’t big on secrets and he just wanted to be honest with Liz. Not being honest with her just drove him crazy and she had a right to know how he felt about her boyfriend.
Scratching at the back of his head, he found the spot in front of the pond that he had asked her to meet him at. Pressing his lips together, he stretched out on the bench, staring up at the sky. People passing by would probably say he was weird for doing something like this, but Noah didn’t really care what other people thought about him. He was getting comfortable, because things were about to get rocky and he needed a few minutes to think about everything. Noah didn’t really know how he was going to bring this up. He didn’t want to be harsh and just blurt it out, but with the anticipation in the pit of his stomach, that might be exactly what happened.
Combing his fingers through his shaggy hair, he closed his eyes again. He would just wait to see how things went. There was no point in dwelling on it any further until Liz got there. He crossed his arms over his chest and laid there just waiting for her to show up. It seemed like the time was ticking by so slowly and he wanted her to be there so that he could get this all off of his chest. He was carrying the world on his shoulders right now and he wanted to get the weight off. The feeling made his stomach tie in knots and he didn’t like it one bit. He wanted to feel light again, wanted the communication back in his friendship with Liz. Their friendship meant the world to him and he didn’t want anything to mess that up.
