Mason stuffed his hands in to his pockets, looking around trying to get his mind off of things for awhile. He had been spending a lot of time focusing on his music and his writing and hadn’t had much time for himself lately. Though he couldn’t really say that it was a bad thing, because his music was his life, but it seemed like recently he had a lot more on his mind than just his music. He had been one of the founding members of Eleventh Corruption. He and his close friend Cameron had started up the band when they were in eighth grade, of course then they didn’t have a name, nor did they have a singer or a lead guitarist or a keyboardist. Back then it was just him and his old drum set and Cameron and his bass guitar. Things had been a lot more simple then, they just jammed out in his garage and had fun with it, now things were starting to get more serious. They were really trying to make it in the world, and it was a hard world to make it in. Now they were different though. They were an actual band and they had been for over a year and a half.
They had found a lead guitarist first, then the keyboardist and finally the singer. He smiled when he thought about the singer they had found, she was incredible. She had a wide vocal range, she was fun, she was smart and witty and she was easy on the eyes. Mason had hit it off with Angel right away, they had been like two peas in a pod and he couldn’t believe how close they got right off the bat. They had become best friends in no time. It wasn’t until the last few months that he had started to feel differently towards her. He stopped seeing her as just ‘one of the guys’. She was… something else. Something more to him. The blonde couldn’t figure it out at first, but recently he had realized that he didn’t want to be just friends with her. They had spent a lot of time together and Mason’s general personality was goofy and fun and flirty – so when he flirted with Angelica she just thought it was any other day.
But it wasn’t like that anymore. He wanted more than that. He wanted to be hers, and vice versa. Mason wanted to give them a shot, but she would just brush him off and tell him to stop messing around. But what she didn’t know was that he wasn’t messing around, he really wanted this. He wanted to date her, seriously. Mason was aware of her strict rule that she didn’t date band members, but he wanted that to change, he wanted her to give them a shot, but she wouldn’t take him seriously. Mason brushed a hand through his bright blonde hair and let his blue eyes look around. It was starting to rain a bit and he didn’t feel like getting soak and wet. Heading towards the Gym, he ducked inside and shook himself off. His eyes scavenging around to see if there was anyone else around. His eyes lit up slightly when he noticed a familiar figure. He smiled and watched her for a minute, “Hey Angel.”

Angelica Cortez sighed and yawned taht morning as she lay in her bed. SHe blinked her eyes open and stared up at her cloud painted ceiling. She sat up and her curly brown hair fell in cascading waves to her waist. She stood up and walked over to her mirror and glanced at a picture of her friend Mason and her and she felt like crying. He really was adorable in the picture and she already admitted to herself that she loved him, but why was it so hard for her to admit it to him?
She grabbed her things she needed for a shower and then she went in and came out fifteen minutes later wrapped in a fluffy yellow robe and her hair in a matching towel. She got dressed in her black and lime green colored leotard. She slid on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt over top of it. She shoved her feet into her sneakers. She dried her hair and pulled her hair up into a high brown ponytail and wrapped it into a bun. She then grabbed her keys and ran out her front door and got in her car and drove towards the school. She got out locking her car and walked into the gym.
She grinned when she saw a high balance beam, and she slid off her shorts and t-shirt along with her sneakers, staying in her socks. She got up on it and walked to the end and when she was ready, she back flipped across the whole thing and when she flipped off the end she twisted in a corkscrew in the air and landed on her feet perfectly. She turned around at the sound of what seemed to be an angelic voice. She saw her best friend Mason and her heart beat faster and her face flushed. Oh. H-hello M-mason.

Mason had always been amazed at Angel’s gymnastics, she was incredible. She never let Mason watch her, but when he caught her in times like these – well he could just tell how good she really was. He brushed a hand over his partially wet blonde hair and walked towards her. He shoved his hands in his pocket and shook his head a little bit. Certain things had been getting under his skin lately, like Angel’s current relationship with what’shisface. He couldn’t even remember the guy’s name – that’s how unimportant he was to Mason. He wouldn’t admit it out loud, but he was jealous. Why wouldn’t he be? The guy had what Mason wanted – and Mason didn’t like that.
Sure, Angel was just his best friend – but he wanted her to be more and she wasn’t letting it happen. He gave her a small smile as he got closer and jumped up to sit on the balance beam. He teetered a bit but caught his balance and let his eyes move over her in her leotard. Biting down on his bottom lip he couldn’t help some of the thoughts that raced through his head – he was only human after all. Grinning a little devilishly he tilted his head, “How come you never let me watch you?” Though, Mason knew that if she actually let him watch he’d probably need a mop and a bucket to collect his drool.
Smirking a little at his own thought, he let his gaze moved back to the girl in front of him. Angel was something else, she had the ability to make him do things he wouldn’t normally. Scratching at the back of his neck, “We have practice tonight at mi casa, for the gig on Sunday night.”
He lifted a brow and decided to add, “And no, your boyfriend can’t come.” Mason tried to shield the look on his face, but he didn’t know if he was doing a good job or not. He just didn’t much care for the guy she was dating currently and he wasn’t going to be afraid to show it. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Angel let the blush fade away from her face and her eyes followed Mason as he walked around her and jumped up on the balance beam to sit down. She brushed a stray hair out of her face and tucked it behind her ear. She heard his question and she shifted her weight from one foot to the other. SHe sighed knowing she'd have to answer him, after all it would be rude to let his question go unanswered and let it hang in the air. It would be rude and would probably make him think that she was ignoring him.
Mase, I never let you watch me, because if I did, I'd probably mess up and knowing you, you'd probably drool or something. I've known you for too long. SHe smirked and winked at him friendly. She did have a boyfriend and she knew Mason was jealous of him. She just didn't know why. She sighed and walked over to where the high and low bars were. She slipped on her guards and heavily chalked her hands so she wouldn't slip. Mase, come over here if you want to watch me. She jumped up grabbing the high bar and began to swing her body back and forth and flipped over it and released letting her fall to the low bar and she swung and held herself in a handstand and flipped a few more times before landing perfectly on her feet and she grinned at Mason.

Mason swung his legs slightly as he sat on the beam, letting his eyes move over Angel’s figure. There was something about her that made it difficult for Mase to keep his eyes off of her. She just had an alluring quality and he could never quite figure out what it was. Not that it really mattered to him, he just enjoyed looking at her. She was a beautiful girl, a guy would be crazy not to enjoy the sight of her, especially in a leotard. “Afraid you’ll mess up?” He scoffed at the thought. “You’re like a pro.” Licking his lips, he watched her walk over to the uneven bars and let out a small sigh. “I won’t deny the drooling, but who wouldn’t? I mean c’mon… a hot girl showing off how flexible she is? What’s not to like about that?”
He snickered a little bit at his playful words, they weren’t meant to be offensive, he was just joking around and with anyone else he may not have said something like that, but Angel knew him. She knew his jokes were harmless – though there was truth behind what he said – he was a teenage guy. Smirking when she told him to come over to the uneven bars so he could watch her, Mase jumped from the beam and headed over towards her. He stood nonchalantly with his arms crossed over his chest as she started to do her little show.
Mason watched her carefully as she swung from bar to bar, impressing him with every movement of her body. He couldn’t believe how fluid she was just flipping around freely. She was like a pro, it was incredible. When she landed perfectly on her feet and tossed him a grin, he laughed softly and clapped his hands, “You’re incredible. Very impressive, I should watch you more often. See, and you didn’t mess up!”

Angel smiled and blushed a bit. She never blushed like this in front of Mase before, what the hell was going on? She swore her conscience was trying to tell her something. She sighed and took off her guards and set them in the bucket with the chalk, and she had to turn away from him. She couldn't stand to look at him anymore, if she did, she'd probably end up crying, which she was already doing. She felt the tears fall down her face and she sighed and couldn't hold it in anymore.
She really did love her boyfriend, or at least she thought that she did. Maybe, her love for Mason was outweighing her love for Robert. She knew subconsciencly that he wouldn't break it off bad. She knew he'd be happy for her no matter what. She turned and walked back over to Mason and stood in front of him with her head bent tears still pouring down her face. She had to word this right, or he'd never get it.
Mason, if you really and truly love me as more than a friend, prove it to me. He head shot up and she looked at him seriously. PROVE IT TO ME DAMN IT! All her anger and frustration was coming out of her now. If he proved it, only then would she admit that she loved him. She needed proof that Mason loved her as much as she loved him.

Mason grinned a little seeing Angel blush. He hadn’t really seen her blush like that in front of him before. He had to admit it was really cute. Well, in all honesty he thought everything she did was cute. He would watch her while she was studying the lyrics of one of the songs the way she would brush the hair from her face, or bite down on her bottom lip as she tapped her hand on her leg trying to get the rhythm of the song down. The way her eyes seemed to always brighten up when they nailed a song perfectly in rehearsal. It was those small things that had attracted him from the start.
Instinctively, Mason felt himself bow up a little when she turned around and he could hear her silent crying Had he done or said something wrong? She had just been smiling and blushing. Had he looked at her wrong? Had Mason given off a weird vibe or something? He didn’t know, but he knew he wanted to fix it. Taking a step closer to her, he stopped when she turned around and stalked towards him. He wanted to reach out and wipe her tears away and pull her in to his chest and comfort her, but he was frozen in his spot.
Her words were faint at first, but then her head shot up and she told him to prove It to him. His heart clenched in his chest nervously, his blue eyes wide in shock. That didn’t last long though, his instincts had told him exactly what he needed to do. He needed to show her exactly how much he wanted her, how much he yearned for her and how much he… loved her. Cupping her face in his hands, he leaned in and pressed his lips to hers. The kiss was slow at first, but slowly built in intensity as Mason put his everything in to the kiss, letting her feel how much he wanted her. Showing her exactly what his words just couldn’t express sometimes. He pulled away slowly, trying to gauge her reaction – half waiting for her to pull back and smack the shit out of him.

Angel watched Mason step closer to her and cup her face in his hands and lean his head down and kiss her. Her eyes closed and her arms reached up around his neck and hold him close as his kiss got more intense and deeper. When he pulled away, she snapped back to reality. She smiled and couldn't stop smiling at him. She knew now that she wanted to be with Mason for good. She would be really happy that if in a long time he asked her to marry him.
Mason, I, I, I love you. I always have just refused to say it out loud until now. She smiled and stretched up on her tiptoes and kissed him again never wanting to let go.She jumped a little bit and wrapped her legs around his waist. She kissed him deeper opening her mouth so he could slip his tongue in her mouth if he liked. She pulled away and kissed him lightly once more and got down from around his waist. SHe smiled and twirled in a circle happily and smiled at Mason in a goofy way just having fun. Hey Mase, betcha can't catch me! With that she took off running because she knew that he was faster than she was.
