As Franky carefully looked at Candy he could see just how scared she was which in some ways made him nervous but in other ways more confident. More nervous because she knew how strong and confident Candy was so he guessed she must be thinking this guy was dangerous and confident because he was standing up for Candy, sort of acting like her hero. It made him feel happy that he could do things like this for her. He turned his attention back towards the guy. He was obviously very very drunk and sometimes this could make people highly irrational. Franky was going to have to be careful. “Look mate, I’ll pay for a taxi home.” he offered, keeping calm so the guy would too. However Franky saw something in the guys eyes which scared him slightly. Anger. This guy obviously wasn’t used to being told no and he wanted to take Candy home but there was no way that Franky was going to let him.
Franky only turned back to Candy as he heard a glass smash on the floor. She was stood there in a state of shock. What was wrong with her? Was she truly that scared of this man. Her mouth was wide open as if she was trying to say something and there was fear in her eyes. She was looking at the man. Franky hadn’t seen the movement. He didn’t see the glinting of silver in the light. He wasn’t even aware of the knife until the guy plunged it into his stomach.
[[ooc OMG! a dun dun dun ending. So exciting. Sorry the post isn't amazing though!]]

Candy wasn't even hearing the words coming out of Franky or the man's mouth anymore. Her heart was beating fast and her ears were ringing as she stared. Her hands were still in the position they'd been in while holding the glass as Franky looked to her. She covered her mouth with both hands and tears started welling up in her terrified eyes as the knife was plundged into Franky's stomach. She ran (quite gracefully in her heels) to the bar phone and dialed 911. "Y-yes, h-hello? I'm a-at The G-Gentleman's Club, there's been a s-stabbing.. Hurry, p-please!" her voice was rushed and freaked, because the man was walking towards the bar. Well, actually, he was stumbling. He held himself up with tables that he passed, knocking chairs down in the process. But Candy wasn't focused on him. She looked his way every few seconds, but she was busy looking at Franky.
"F-Franky.." she said weakly, her knees collapsing as she fell to the floor. Candy pulled her knees to her chest, the chorded phone hanging next to her. "Ma'am, are you still on the line?" the operator was asking. Candy grabbed the phone with shaky hands and held it to her ear. "Y-yeah, I'm here." The woman was trying to calm down Candy, but all she could think about was seeing Franky on the floor. Sirens wailed. Everything went by in a shock, and all she could remember was everything going silent to her, she ignored everyone but Franky, riding in the ambulance with him. By the time surgery was done and Franky was laying in a hospital bed, asleep still, Candy had pulled a chair up to his bed and was holding his hand. "I'm so sorry Franky.. I.. I love you, please don't die.." she said, tears still finding their way out of her eyes.

It was strange. Franky could see the guy holding the knife in his stomach but he felt no pain. He had seen on TV when people are stabbed, they are not initially in pain but he never thought it was true. Was it the shock or was this all just a bad dream? However as the guy twisted the knife and pulled it out, pain flooded through his body. Franky cried out, unable to stand up and found himself falling to the floor. He shut his eyes, his face twisting in agony. This was probably the worst pain he had ever felt in his life. He heard Candy on the phone dialling 911. Franky twisted his head round, desperately looking for the guy just in case he was going to hurt Candy next. He was stood near the bar just watching him in shock. He then ran away quickly as he heard the sirens. Candy was safe. Franky held onto his stomach, feeling the warmness of his blood which made him feel sick. His head was throbbing and the pain was getting unbearable.
As he shut his eyes again he heard the door open and people come rushing in. It felt strange though. Everything seemed to be happening in slow motion. His head was spinning now and if he tried to open his eyes, the spinning of the room just made him feel sick. He felt someone kneel down next to him, asking him if he could tell them his name. Their voice was blurry, sort of like Franky was under water. Everything seemed distorted. He opened his eyes slowly again, groaning as someone pressed down hard on his wound. He was scared. Really scared. Was he going to die? The pain was intense, the room was spinning and then, suddenly, everything just went dark.
When Franky woke up the first thing that hit him was the pain. It wasn’t as bad as it had been but it now felt sore as well. He felt sick and his head hurt too. When he opened his eyes everything was initially blurry but as everything came into focus he noticed Candy sat by him. She had stayed with him? She looked terrified and was crying. He turned his head to look at her slightly and smiled weakly to show he was ok, his hand crossing over his stomach. He was all wrapped up. “You ok?” He said weakly, which sounded like a stupid question given the state he was in but Franky was actually concerned about her, especially as she was crying.

Candy had never actually seen anyone stabbed, other than on television. Not even in Milwaukee had she seen anything so harsh. Right now regrets were rushing all over her. If she'd never tried rebelling, this wouldn't be happening. Franky would be safe, at home. She would be probably having a movie night or something. The awful man would have never hurt Franky.. Her Franky. Candy couldn't even look at the blood after she'd collapsed to sit behind the bar. She knew that the biker was gone, she'd heard him run out, but she just couldn't. She couldn't stand to see Franky in so much pain. So much pain, all because the guy wanted her.
Waiting. Pacing. It seemed to take forever. All of Candy's thoughts were a mix, and she couldn't seem to get one thing separated from another. Love. Hate. Regret. Hope. It all just flooded her until she was crying and pacing the halls outside of the surgery room. They'd told her she could watch through the door if she wanted, but she couldn't get herself to focus, because she didn't want to believe that they had Franky. Silently, she was telling herself it was somebody else and that she was worked up for nothing. But that wasn't true, and she knew that all too well. It hurt her so much to know that somebody could do such a thing to such an amazing guy. All he'd done was enforce the rules, his beliefs. And he'd gotten hurt because of her. Candy felt horrible. All she wanted was for Franky to be okay.
The minute he woke up she looked from staring at his hand wrapped in both of hers to looking at his face. She couldn't help but to laugh weakly at his words, taking one of her hands and swiping at her tears but leaving the other one holding his hand. "I'm fine, Franky. I'm sure the real question here i-is how are you feeling?" she looked at the blankets where his stomach was, then back up to his face. "You had me worried sick... I.. I don't know what I would've done without you..." she trailed off, wiping at fresh tears again.

Franky frowned slightly as he remembered what had happened. At the time he had thought everything was in slow motion but when he thought back to it now it had all actually happened very quickly. He couldn’t remember everything. The last thing he remembered is the sound of sirens and the look of fear on Candy’s face. Franky couldn’t believe that had happened to him. He thought he had spoken calmly to the guy. It wasn’t like they had got into a fight and the guy was using self defence against Franky. No it was just an attack on him. He wondered if the guy had been caught. Franky couldn’t help but feel slightly scared. What if he hadn’t been caught and he was still out there? What if he came back to the club again and hurt him or even worse, Candy? He couldn’t bear the thought of Candy getting hurt. Even thinking about how close Candy got to being stab made him worry. Surely he shouldn’t feel like this if he just saw her as a friend. Did he really have deeper feelings for her? Did he love her?
As he shifted in his bed to try and get more comfortable he winced in pain. As he gently felt the bandaging on his stomach he could feel the stitching below his fingers. He wondered how big the wound was but he didn’t want to find out. Mainly because it was just too painful but also because it would probably just freak him out. Franky kept on his smile, despite the pain that he was feeling. He couldn’t believe Candy was crying. In all the time that Franky had known her he didn’t think he’d ever seen her cry. He felt the warmth of her hand in his own which made him smile even more. “Hey hey hey.” he said quietly, squeezing her hand gently.”Don’t even think about that because I’m alive and even though it hurts I’m fine so you have nothing to worry about.” He assured her. “I’m sorry you had to go through this.”

Candy wasn't even paying attention to time. Everything seemed to flash by, but at the same time if felt so slow. Nothing seemed to be going right. Candy was wishing she'd never become such a whore, because she could have prevented this all. Though the downside is that she wouldn't have met Franky. Wouldn't have experienced.. Well, how she felt. She'd always felt deep down that there was something in her heart screaming to him, but she hadn't actually thought about her heart in a long while. It raced when she was with Franky, but she ignored that. Sometimes it even skipped a beat or two, but she ignored that as well. It was just there to pump blood through her veins.
Speaking of her heart skipping a beat... When Franky squeezed her hand a bit, she couldn't help but smile and feel that stupid organ skip a beat inside her chest. Candy suddenly loved that feeling. She'd always loved the feeling, but right at that moment it meant so much more. Candy nodded softly when he assured her that he was alright. "Alright, alright. I just.. Thanks. For.. everything." Candy shook her head about Franky apologizing. "Don't apologize. The guy got caught.. The police got there just as he ran out the doors," Candy hesitated, pausing momentarily to take a shaky breath. "Franky I.." she wasn't sure how to say it again, now that he was awake. So instead, Candy stood up from her chair and leaned in, planting a very gentle kiss on his lips before sitting back down. She'd never been big on subtlty or just soft pecks of the lips, so this was new to her. Her next sentence came as barely a whisper, and she was staring at his hand that she was still holding. "Franky, I love you.." no more than a whisper, but she hoped he heard her.

As Franky gently pulled back the covers because he was feeling a bit warm he noticed he was just in his boxers. Strangely, he thought about what had happened to his suit. He knew that the shirt and the jacket must be ruined, with a huge rip and blood covering them but he wondered about the trousers. It had been an expensive suit. He shook his head, wondering why he was even thinking about this when he was just lucky to be alive. As Candy explained the man had been caught he couldn’t help but sigh with relief. Does that mean Franky and Candy were going to have to go through a court case or will they just say he’s guilty because he was seen leaving the crime with a knife?
As Candy opened her mouth again to speak, Franky looked up at her suddenly realising how much she was shaking. Was that just shock? He watched her carefully as she stood up and planted a very gentle kiss on his lips. That was unusual for Candy. Normally they were very passionate, strong kisses. This was more of a romantic, sweet one. His eyes never left her as she stared at his hand and then four words left her mouth.Franky I love you. It had only been a whisper, so quiet that Franky wondered if he was just making it up. That was what he wanted Candy to say so was his brain just telling him what he wanted to hear. His heart was beating quickly which was making his stomach hurt more but he didn’t care. He waited for a few moment before… “I love you Candy.” He said it loud, proudly because he knew it was true and he knew he had wanted to say it for ages. He suddenly panicked though. What if he had misheard? Surely Candy would freak out and leave. Had he just ruined this friendship? He watched her carefully, waiting to see her reaction.

Candy had known that Franky was only in his boxers. The hospital people had left the pants folded up on the couch in the corner of the room, and a hideous hospital gown was sitting crumpled on the floor. When Candy had been told to have Franky put it on when he woke up, she just chucked it at the wall and told them to "fuck off, I want my Franky as comfortable as possible, and those things itch like a bitch." Thinking back to it, Candy wanted to laugh. She always was like that after she was mean to someone. She would think back and want to laugh at how she sounded. Candy had mastered her bitchiness, so anyone else would be terrified. She just thought it was funny. Though the nurse hadn't.
Being a spur of the moment kind of person, Candy had always put passion and strength into everything she did, especially kissing. But this was completely different. She could feel his eyes on her the entire time. However, Candy couldn't look to his face. She was too worried about what he was yet to say. Until he said exactly what she wanted to hear. Candy slowly looked up to his face, smiling softly and sincerely. Inside Candy wanted to dance, scream, hug him as tight as she could; but she couldn't because she didn't want to hurt him or look like an idiot. She swiped the last few tears, tears of joy, that had found their way to her eyes and stood again. She hugged him softly as to not hurt him. She noticed space open on the other side of the bed, and walked around. She climbed in carefully and laid on her side, cuddling cautiously up to him. Candy felt as if he would break next to her any second. No longer was she wearing her heels, having taken them off while pacing the halls. So, Candy closed her eyes softly. "I love you, too," she said, louder this time. It was definitely going to take some getting used to.

Franky shifted awkwardly in his be, partly because he was in pain and partly because he was seriously nervous about what he had just said. He actually couldn’t believe that he, Franky Delfino had said that he loved Candy. He had wanted to say that to her for so long. He had nearly said it accidently hundreds of times but he had bitten his tongue, stopped himself. Why hadn’t he stopped himself then? God knows what sort of drugs he was on. Maybe they were making him crazy. Maybe he had completely misheard Candy and he had made a complete and utter idiot of himself. He could feel his heart thumping madly in his chest. However, her beautiful face looked up at him and she was wearing a soft, sincere smile which made his heart beat faster, but in happiness.
As her arms hugged him she wrapped his own round her slim waist, grinning from ear to ear. He had never ever felt so happy before in his life. So relieved that it was what he heard and finally, finally he had heard her say that she loved him. He just wanted to jump up and hug her as tightly as he could, embrace her properly but he knew he couldn’t because it was painful enough just lying in the bed. As she let go of his hand he frowned slightly, watching her walk round the bed. But then he realised what she wanted to do and his grin widened once again as he very carefully shifted over to let her have some more room. He put an arm round her shoulders, pulling her close as her head rested on his chest. This felt so right. He didn’t ever want to move out of this position, it was just so comfortable. As she uttered those three amazing words again he stroked her hair softly. “I have and always will love you Candy.” He admitted, kissing her head softly. If a nurse came along now they would probably get in trouble but Franky didn’t care. This was the best moment of his life.
